Thea Render is a versatile 3D rendering engine that integrates seamlessly with SketchUp, providing both unbiased and interactive render modes directly within the SketchUp interface. This integration allows users to enrich their models with highly detailed content without limitations, facilitating the creation of stunning, photorealistic images.
Key Features:
- Interactive Rendering: Thea for SketchUp enables interactive rendering either within the Thea window or directly inside the SketchUp viewport. This feature offers immediate feedback with production-quality results, enhancing the design workflow
- Advanced Material Editor: The integrated material editor brings all the advanced features of Thea materials into SketchUp, allowing for detailed and precise material customization.
- AI Denoising: Thea supports both NVIDIA and Intel AI denoisers, offering GPU and CPU accelerated denoising for both interactive and production renderings. This dramatically reduces render times while producing high-quality, noise-free images
- Adaptive Tracing: This technique addresses challenging lighting scenarios, such as caustics from point lights and diffuse interreflections, resulting in images with a higher dynamic range and lighting effects that were previously difficult to achieve.
- Relight Editor: The Relight feature allows users to modify the intensity, color, and status of every light in the scene after rendering, enabling the creation of multiple lighting setups from a single render.
Thea for SketchUp is compatible with both Windows and macOS platforms. For activation, users can lease a license by navigating to Extensions > Thea Render > License Setup within SketchUp, entering their Altair One email and password, and clicking ‘Activate’.
Educational licenses require loading a license file (.dat) in the Educational tab of the License Setup window.
For a 1-year activation, Thea for SketchUp is available as a subscription, providing users with access to all features and updates during the subscription period
By integrating Thea Render into SketchUp, users can significantly enhance their rendering capabilities, producing high-quality visualizations with efficiency and ease.
